We are delighted you want to share this day with us.

Welcome

A Celebration of Love,
Family & Friendship

We are overjoyed that you will be joining us in Lund to celebrate our wedding. This website has all the practical details you may need for your trip — from travel and hotel recommendations to some brief history on the venues, as well as some information on a few of our favourite spots in Skåne for those of you who would like to make a full weekend of it.

The Bride & The Groom

Two Stories, One Chapter

Lina, the bride

The Bride

Lina is a Swedish writer based in Lund. Her novels and short stories have been translated into many languages, and she has received some of Sweden's most prestigious literary awards. When she is not writing, she loves wandering around old bookstores and spending time in nature.

Fred, the groom

The Groom

Fred is a fine wine merchant based in Paris, where he founded Filips Wine in 2004 — named after his paternal Swedish grandfather, Filip. He grew up in London and moved to France in the late 90s to develop his passion in wine. In his free time, he loves to explore nature and trying to improve his golf handicap!

“Many guests will meet each other for the first time this weekend — which makes it even more special.”

The Venues

Where It All Happens

Lund Cathedral's twin Romanesque towers seen through lilac bushes

Lunds Domkyrka

Ceremony

One of Scandinavia's finest Romanesque churches, inaugurated in 1145. Nearly 900 years of history lie within its sandstone walls. A personal detail: the stone from the church has ties to the bride's home village, making this place even more meaningful to us. Located in the heart of Lund.

Hypoteket, a grand former bank building in central Lund

Hypoteket

Reception

In what was originally a grand building housing an old bank, Hypoteket blends historic architecture — high ceilings, classical columns, ornate details — with a warm, celebratory atmosphere. The perfect setting for our wedding dinner and just a stone's throw from the Church.

Transport & Hotels

Getting to Lund

Fly to Copenhagen

Guests coming from abroad should fly to Copenhagen Airport (CPH), the closest international airport.

Train to Lund

Direct train from Copenhagen Airport to Lund Central takes about 35 minutes. Trains run frequently.

Where to Stay

We recommend booking early. Grand Hotel and Hotel Lundia in Lund offer 15 % off — use discount code HYP15 when booking online at grandilund.se and lundia.se. If hotels in Lund are fully booked, Elite Hotel Savoy in Malmö is a great alternative — located right opposite Malmö Central Station.

To Do in Skåne

Make a Weekend of It

If you are arriving early or staying on after the wedding, here are a few of our favourite places in the region.

Hörby

The bride's home village, surrounded by rolling Scanian countryside. Walk through endless woods of oaks and beeches, visit the 19th-century writer Victoria Benedictsson's writing room at Hörby Museum, or explore artisan farm shops.

Torekov & Bjäre

A charming fishing village on the Bjäre peninsula where the groom spent many summers growing up. Take a boat to Hallands Väderö, walk along the dramatic cliffs at Hovs Hallar — where Bergman filmed The Seventh Seal — or simply swim in the sea and enjoy a fika by the harbour.

Lund & Malmö

Fifteen minutes apart by train. To visit in Lund: the cathedral's medieval astronomical clock, Kulturen open-air museum, and bistros like Klostergatans Vin & Delikatess. In Malmö: Moderna Museet, Malmö Konsthall, and for foodies a Michelin-starred dining scene.

Ales Stenar

Scandinavia's Stonehenge — 59 boulders arranged on a windswept coastal ridge above the fishing village of Kåseberga. The kind of dramatic, ancient landscape that makes you fall silent. Best at sunset.

Österlen

Often called the Provence of Sweden. Rolling rapeseed fields, half-timbered farmsteads, apple orchards, and artist studios in old stone barns. A landscape made for long lunches and unhurried conversation.

Sofiero Castle

The former summer residence of the Swedish royal family in Helsingborg. Spectacular gardens cascading down toward the Öresund strait — formal European design meets romantic Nordic planting. An ideal afternoon stroll.
